Finding low competition keywords
If you’re looking for a shortcut, there’s a simple one on Google’s Keyword Planner.

Here’s what you do:

Click on “Keyword filters” located on the left-hand side of your dashboard.



Then click on “Low,” and it will leave a checkmark indicating that you want all your results to have low competition. Then save.



Your results will be populated only by keyword phrases with low competition.



Note: Sometimes there may be pretty slim pickings for low competition keywords. In this case, you may want to also search for medium competition.

This will save you a lot of time from having to manually sift through the results to find something relevant.

As i know , low competition here = no one is bidding an ad for this keyword
it doesn't have a relation for you as publisher ( unless you are using adsense and looking for high CPC keywords )
as a publisher i'm looking for high search volume keywords that doesn't have competition on google search.

U can't blame people for making money. Personally i learned some interesting stuff from his blog but recently he writes only irrelevant crap.

Absolutely agree, I have to say, his blog got sth interesting here and there, but consider this article is titled with that and consider keyword is the core thing of SEO/Site, he indeed not deserve the "guru" title, this article misleaded a lot newcomers, that sucks.

You are right indeed, the completely bullshit post, thats why I posted here in case anyone learned the "ultimate guide" and doomed himself.

Thanks for the sharing. He is a cool guy and if he give you something you should give something back to him! I know some people on BHW don't know what I mean but that's how it usual work.
