I see many people buy views on youtube.. Quick questions
1. What is a fair market price for 1000 views right now? I see people offering it for 7 usd, some 29 usd, not sure?
Well, that would depend on the type of views you we're buying and where you buy them from. There are many different views services available, with prices ranging from $0.1 up to hundreds of dollars per 1000. The best low cost views services that most people here are using are currently priced in the $0.5 to $2 / 1000 range.
There are different views services for different purposes. For example, if you were trying to boost your video to the top of search results for a very low competition keyword, you wouldn't need many views thus the service would need to have a low minimum order quantity, you would likely want very slow views to keep things looking natural/organic, if the video was of value you might go for a service that includes a 90 day or lifetime refill guarantee if the views are ever detected and removed, you might want to get views from a specific traffic source (such as search/suggestions, watch page, etc.) or device (desktop/mobile), if you wanted to rank for a specific country you might choose to use geo targeted views. 2. What are proven services selling views?
The views you buy and the seller you buy them from will depend on the kind of views you're looking for and your budget. Different services are better for different purposes thus it doesn't make sense for me to recommend random services/sellers without at least knowing what they are for.
3. Do they hurt the rankings or not?
It depends on the service and how you use the views. If you instantly add 100K random views to a video, that may be harmful. If you were at the bottom of page 1 for your target keyword and your goal was to get near the top; and your competitors videos all had standard levels of engagement, low to moderate sized subscriber counts, and all had 5K-10K views more than your video did; it could be incredibly helpful to boost your video slowly by 200-400 per day with a proportionate number of likes, dislikes, social shares, comments, etc. for a period of 3-5 weeks until your metrics matched your competitors.
Don't throw random services at your video though. Read up on video ranking techniques/methods, find relevant services, develop your own strategy, then execute. Before boosting your video's metrics, you should optimize your title, description, tags, and thumbnail at the very least as per industry standards.
4. Is there specific rate of likes vs views that you need?
I recommend newbies start by boosting likes, dislikes, comments, and social shares in proportion to the views. The view to engagement ratio you go for will depend on your niche/keyword/video. A good place to start would be to search for the keyword you are targeting a ranking for, analyze your competitors metrics and go with an average of their view to engagement ratios.
