Buying vacated IG Account

Is there anyway to get access to a vacated IG account? I have tried to message the owner of the account but no response. It hasn't been posted on in a few years.

If there is some sort of way that you can show its your account; you can then message meta through the app and they can potentially provide you access, but there are some guidelines you would have to follow for account retrieval process.
