Hi, there is tons of unused youtube channels with a couple thousand subscribers. (The owner stopped to use it)
I thinking about to buy those channels for a cheaper price, than flip/make content to it.
I'm newbie at the youtube stuffs, what do you guys think? Is it a possible business idea?

Yes, that could work, my friend used to do this and earned a big sum, although that was quite long ago. If the price is good, I would go for it, but ask for detailed stats.

Yeh, the question is how, i once tried that with some channels but got scamed, some of them tells u "send me money first" then never reply... some of them get back their account...etc

Create a reverse sales funnel. Write up some copy on why they should sell their channel to you and send it out. Follow up the same way as you would if you were trying to sell them something.

It could absolutely work.

yes, its not an easy road.

Best to use Middleman services / escrow etc for your transactions.

And at the very least, don't pay with crypto. Pay with paypal so you can dispute if they scam.

Always verify ownership over skype / teamviewer (ask buyer to change the channel description to some particular text so that you can identify he's the real owner and not scammer)

Good luck :)

Yes, very profitable especially if they are old channels

Sounds as a good idea, you can try from small one and check the result

The only way to not get scammed is by using some sort of middleman or escrow service.

Even then you can still end up with nothing unless the person also provides you with the gmail account.

I've been wanting to buy a monetized YT account for some time, but haven't found any good seller yet.

The amount of effort to avoid getting scammed while doing this for only a couple thousand subscribers isn't really worth it. Relevant video content is the most important metric the algorithm currently looks for, even if you have 0 subscribers you will grow quick with the right content.

Buying for subscribers would be dumb. The point of buying a channel is having it already monetized so you don't have to go through all that hassle.
