is flippa still the best site?

Also How much of a pain in the ass is it to buy a site? Last time I bought a site the other party set up everything and I basically took over from there.

Is it time consuming? Is it worth it to buy a site that only earns a few bucks a month and could possibly make more over time?

Depends on what you're looking for. And "best" is very individual. Flippa is still the largest website marketplace in terms of the number of active listings at any given time though, yes.

Again, it depends. If your agreement with the seller is that they transfer everything, perform initial training etc. then in many cases the takeover process is fairly easy. That said, you have to agree on these terms specifically (before bidding on / buying the site) if you want to be sure.

It's generally not a very good idea to buy very small sites unless you're confident that you can increase the site's revenue or it compliments your other sites/businesses. Also - never pay based on potential. That's what most sellers of low-end sites on Flippa want you to do (and they do a great job by showing what's the CPC of the keywords the site ranks for, how much similar sites have made etc. etc.) but when talking about the price, this kind of "potential" is completely and utterly irrelevant and you should ONLY pay based on existing revenue.

I couldn't stand using them cause I didn't understand that most of the users are fluffing the data so I paid a couple hundred for 2 or 3 sites and then was getting no traffic or ad clicks complete waste....

Just keep that in mind while looking make sure to authenticate the traffic somehow.

I know it's not the answer you're looking for, but from my observation, Google Analytics is primo.
