I've been growing my accounts with the follow/unfollow method. But I've been thinking about buying some tweets, retweets, shoutouts etc. from larger accounts, or trying to work out trades.

How effective is this? Let's say I get a RT from a large account, maybe 500,000 followers. How many clicks could I expect to get, or how many new followers?

I know this will vary based on a lot of factors, but what kind of results have you gotten? How much did you have to pay?

BTW, I'm not selling products or anything. I have a viral-style website and I want to drive traffic. So I would either tweet links/headlines for viral-style stories, or I'd want shoutouts so I get more followers.

dont buy shout out it doesnt work anymore .Build your own account and try to make it viral

They definitely work! But again, as the above person mentioned it all depends on who you buy it from.

A shoutout or RT from an account which has 500,000 active followers could help you a lot in increasing your following and getting a lot of attention and would be worth every penny you pay for the service! While a shoutout from an account which has 750,000 followers but most of them are inactive won't help at all.

It depends on various factors.
1)Make sure the followers are real
2)Make sure the niches are similar
3)Dont pay for retweets (Try to work out an agreement with the seller ect. $50 for 1k followers)
