...lets say the on page SEO is all good, you want the site to rank fast and you need to keep the site totally white hat. What services would you buy from our fellow BHWers? What services are least likely to get you in trouble with the search engines?

Well there is no guaranteed way. My best advice is to start slow. Maybe some article marketing, directories, manual high quality comments, guest blog posts and the like. I would avoid going overboard in the beginning so no automated campaigns, no mass link building.

I agree too with the above, but if you choose to blast anything maybe make sure that you have some buffer sites instead of doing it to your money site.
