I checked a couple of them and the OBL's were not crazy bad but since they are still selling them it is probably going to get a lot worse, especially since they are selling permanent links.

The biggest problems I see is they have all the sites listed as selling links and they are blogrolls which are not really all that effective from a rankings standpoint.

Goggle frowns on selling links so outing themselves like that just seems stupid and if and when they get caught all those links will be worthless. Bare links without any content around them will not really help your rankings much, you need to get links inside some related content for the best results.

I'd be cautious as well, I recently read a story about someone that was trying to sell his site on eBay and blatantly explained that whoever the buyer was could sell links, like he was, to monetize the site.

Low and behold, within several days of the auction the PR was completely stripped from the domain and it was removed from the SERPs.

I'd recommend trying to find private link brokers. They typically secure the best links and don't publicize there list anywhere. This assures that the really good links won't likely get caught.

Anyone know where they get these high pagerank domains?

Some of the sellers have like 50+ PR5 domains theY sell backlinks for.

ya really they need to work extra for their back links. There are so many websites or they create it themselves. you are talking only about 50 even they have 100.

It isn't a good idea to purchase links like this when the URLs are displayed publicly and they oversell spots on the homepage. It may be a little bit cheaper but at the end of the day the site may have 500+ links on it or always be offline in the future when the owner has no incentive to keep it up.

There are a few different places to pick them up. Godaddy and the other registrars have auctions but most of those are going to show up as dropped. There are brokers out there that you can purchase them from. I get a few list each week of available one to look through and it is just a matter of trying to find ones that are worth buying. It does take some time to go through them and find ones that are worth the money.
