with all the recent changes with google, is buying links no longer recommended?

Buying links is perfectly fine, the only problem with buying links is that you have to check out where you buying links from and you can have to more careful then ever. You need to ensure that the links your buying won't be classified as spam later on and hurt you.

If you choose to buy links I would recommend you choose a quality based service, they are pricier but they are also safer in the long run.

check out the service sub forum, you'll find tons of links you can buy there, be sure to read the reviews and to ask the sellers questions so you can be sure with exactly what you getting.

If your looking to completely hands-free SEO I would go with a company, but their prices are typically significantly more.

thanks for the tip. i agree that buying the right links is crucial in the long run however, most companies will just get links from anywhere and base their decision on pr. how do i control where my links are added? once i order from a company its no longer in my control.

When has buying links ever been recommended? All you need to do is add the nofollow attribute to any links you buy/sell then it's fine.
