A question for those who buy shout outs...

When purchasing a shout-out how many new followers would you need to see in order for you to consider it to be a good buy ?

$10 Shoutout = 100 New followers = $0.10 per follower - is that good ?
$50 Shoutout = 200 New followers = $0.25 per follower - is that good ?

I understand that there a lots of complicating variables such as niche , sellers sending fake followers, which followers came from a shoutout and which came naturally, etc

Just wondered what you guys thought a follower was worth

Or am I missing something and a shout out has more value than just the new followers you get from it ?

Of course it does, if you're promoting a product or something else.

Otherwise, I'd say it's just for followers :)

Personally, I find most shoutouts truly unworthy, IMO, they're, in general, overpriced. But that might just be me being stingy or just poor. I find spending $50 to get 200/300 followers a waste of money, might as well throw money in the garbage.

Let me know if you are interested in quality shoutouts. All my followers are real and the engagement I have is amazing

Hmmmm, so not much love for buying shout-outs here

Anyone care to share their results - positive or negative ?

I did it once. Purchased a shoutout from 800K reach for $50. Terrible investment. People fake their engagement and send mass fake follows your way. Not good results.

But...it's kind of like buttsex. Gotta try it once at least.

the key is buying from known celebrities, i have a fashion niche so i purchase shoutouts/ADs from gossip pages, and socialites alike anywhere from $50-500 per ad which may stay up for a set amount of time or indefinitely. They often have real followers for the most part (some fakes mixed in). But to me they're not just "followers" they're potential customers. If i pay to showcase something and someone likes it they're going to follow me to see more, they may not buy anything right on the spot but they may down the line.

^ That above me

I think that if you have the bankroll buying shoutouts is a fantastic way to grow your account. Perfect Example: Dan Bilzerians shouts to Thedollarshaveclub

TDSC has racked in over 200k followers from that alone. If you're going to buy shoutouts buy multiple at the same time and negotiate on the pricing

Another growth method to look into = mentions

I would prefer to grow accounts with that money. But private proxy, a VPS, a good instagram bot. Within a month, you'll have more followers than you could imagine if you are doing things right

Unless you have an incredibly unique account, shoutouts don't gain nearly as much as you expected. I bought shoutous from 300k account and got 30 followers wow

I buy shoutouts all the time when I buy a $10 caption SO I hope for 500-1000 followers, When I invest $50 in an hour on a mill page I expect 2000-4000 followers. Just bought a $150 shoutout and got 8k followers, not bad. I always get yelled at saying they bought the same shoutout and it didn't do shit, well if your content sucks, and your shoutout video is poor you aren't going to get returns because why the hell would anyone want to follow you could invest a million dollars into a shitty page and get nothing out of it.

So you are paying approx $0.02 per follower - that's awesome BUT as you say you need to have very good content to get those sort of numbers

How did you find these top accounts in your niche? I'm in the women's fashion niche (only post pictures of myself, not taking others' posts and posting them to my acount) and I don't know where to find accounts that feature others.

Do yourself a favor, if you want quality followers do not buy "shoutouts".

I would think shoutouts would lead to good quality followers since these are people that actually went to your page of their own decision and decided to follow rather than following just for a giveaway or prize or something.

Big accounts means a large portion of spam followers. You know, those bots your using, you think you're the only person in the world using them?

Some people like stuff just to like stuff. I remember when I tried fiverr for awhile. Some dude made me post the most boring ass video about a farming tractor. This was wayyyyyyyyyyyyy far off from my niche which I made completely obvious on my sales page. It was most likely a competitor trying to sabotage but believe it or not, the post actually got some likes, which was way more than I thought because I was expecting zero. I knew this shit was a joke, low and behold it got some likes.

You know who sells shoutouts? People with huge accounts with automated spam bots and people who own hundreds of their own spam bots.

If you want a quality account, you gotta do it by hand, the dirty work.

Nobody is going to pay and waste $$ just to get followers for an account, most have some sort of monetizing method already implemented on their account, so for example...

You pay $30 for a shoutout and 100 new followers come and click link or whatever and you make $40 in return or something, you profit $10.
Just repeat and keep going. That's a general idea of how they work.

If you pay $50 just to try to get followers to grow your account, you're either an idiot or you just have too much money to blow.

You'd be surprised. I see dozens of threads everyday of people building accounts and waiting until they hit X amount of followers before even thinking of monetizing.
