I was looking at the marketplace and found guest post buys, are they generally worth it and has anyone seen any improvements to their sites traffic/position in google?

Some of the "guest posts" being routed in the marketplace here are just PBNs, no traffic to speak of.

Buying guest posts is a very Good Idea.. I repeat, I meant buying real guest posts.. Not guest blog themed blog post or Guest blog posts or blog posts in the name of guest posts or some new named blog posts in the name of guest posts :D

So, Make sure > Get some samples before you buy > Check whether the blogs are real or just built for guest posts & few more analysis over the blogs..

Then, Buy Guest posts, if you feel sample blogs are real, niche relevant, quality, etc etc.. & confirm with the seller, rest of blogs will be of same quality like the samples..
In some cases, They threw away Good samples.. I repeat Good sample blogs.. ;)

Try to get niche relevant ones you can get better result.
