Hello,

I am new to SEO and I am trying to boost my DR. (Current Ahrefs DR = 33).

I found an expired domain with DR = 8, 30 Backlinks and 25 Referring domains. (£10)
There are two very good backlinks from TechCrunch and Crunchbase though they are 10 years old.

Do you believe is it worth to buy it?

Also in general, how does buying expired domains impact DR? Do too many redirect results in search engine heavily penalising your domain? If so, how many is too much?

Thanks!

that domain will not boost your DR by too much (probably not even 1 point), but it's worth paying $10 for and redirecting to your main site if the 2 links are still there...

buying them doesn't impact the DR. Redirecting them impacts the DR of your destination site (yeah, I'm such a smartass, I know :p)

no idea. I could probably find out the answer but I'm too lazy. Just google it, man! I'm sure that the first 2-3 sites in google will answer this question in the first few paragraphs. Or use the search button to find your answer on the forum, I'm sure that someone had already asked this before (for like, 100th time). Or check out Nargil's profile, that guy lives and breathes expired domains, so you can probably find the answer in one of the many posts he's made about this before...

Yeah meant how does buying expired domains, then redirect them affect you and if too many domains that redirects penalise you. There's seem a lot of different opinions But yeah cool

You will not find clean domains with those backlinks for registration fee only. You would have to go through millions of domains and be extremely lucky and I don't think this is the case.

That level of domains is an auction territory. Make sure you properly check the history of the domain.

If done correctly using clean domains, 301s can help, but the domains need to be good.
