Buying Domain Name Through Wire Transfer?

Is it at all possible to buy a domain name (through a reputable registrar) directly by bank transfer? I live in the Netherlands so I can't add a bank account directly through paypal.

The reason I would like to do this is that the paperwork required to apply for a credit card will take at last a week to arrive, and then I have the actual waiting time for the card to be sent...

A number of registrars allow ACH transactions and I think a few allow wires. However, in these scenarios, you are typically depositing a minimum amount (~$100 is common), and then drawing down from that balance. Check enom and directi.
