Hi, does buying website links really works?
Considering all social media recognize when users buy followers, views etc, can you really trick google and incrase rank by buying backlinks? What's your opinion

There are huge differences with this assumption.
When you talk about social media, you are talking about "others" site. In others sites they have plenty of control in many aspects: they can use their AI to identify multiple patters, therefore they can get you way easier
Also they can "test" your "fanpage" straight away, for example, by sending your pubs to certain users, and see how they react. If your fanpage or channel is fake, they will detect this easily.

In the "open ocean" of the web, things are significantly different. Google can identify for example "spammy" sites, when certain pages send thousands of links to other sites. Therefore if those sites also link yours, it could be a matter of penalization or simply a not relevant link to take into account.

But what happens with many other options? Legit looking sites, that just send a couple of links, that look very legit. How can Google separate the wheat from the chaff? Not that easy. The only way, is that they use the Google Analytics installed on both sites, to know if there is traffic in those sites and if anyone at all is using those links as a useful linking pattern. But that is very fishy and would render a really bad reputaiton (although some people are suspicious of this). Even though, fake traffic could be introduced and it will be difficult to Google to just monitor billions of traffic from trillions of sites. Not enough computational resources to make this happen

TL;TR: Backlinks work, and they will work for a long time, although Google is starting to be more "intelligent" in terms of content and is being capable of recognizing good sources of content compared to the "shitty spammy sites" (at least for common high volume niches). This will make easier in the future to better classify the web, as we all expect them to do :)

How would Google know whether the owner of a website went through the process to acquire a backlink or whether the owner paid someone to do it?

It's very difficult for Google to do this (which is why PBN sites work so well).

The main things to really keep in mind are the quality and volume of links you're purchasing/building. By seeking out good links and not ploughing them into your site at a huge volume you'll stay under the rader. It's also worth trying to diversify links too, don't only have one type of link - try to spread the love a bit.

Personally, I throw one or two spammy looking links in the mix too (forum posts etc etc). Most standard websites have a broad mix of links - some more worthy than others. By making your website look just like any other site on the www you'll be able to keep building whilst making everything look "normal".

Looking normal is good, boring is what keeps your blackhat links safe and secure!

I bought several links for my webshops, and I do have to say: it actually works.

You do have to check out the website though, don' t get those spammy (cheap) backlink websites.
It costed me a ton, but well.. I'm making profit thankfully.

Buying backlinks really works but in the long run, it's not as good as getting backlinks naturally

When it feels like traffic is lower than usual, yeah I run a few backlink campaigns along with some advertising campaigns. But I don't depend on backlinks. I think that will not be a good thing to do. But to use it as a side benefit for the website, yes it works really well.

Thank you, do you mind sharing which one you buy?

Another question then. An affiliate system can help increase backlinks too right? Or google know they are affiliate and they are weak links

hello

yes buying backlinks really works but you should to buy topic related links and naturally.

Yes, Buying backlinks will help to improve your rankings. But you should be selective on those process.
You have to get quality backlinks, don't go for high quantity links.

Because your site will be penalized if google finds your paid links.

You will get both answers. It depends on those links, are those links do-follow or No follow

During my class at the Google building, the coach said that makes a lot of difference to have your site listed on websites like The New York Times, CNN, Forbes, than to have your website listed in cheap blogs and websites that can just hurt your ranking
