Buying already used domain

As title say I am thinking of buying domain that used before but it is up fro grab now. How can i know if the domain was hit my google panda or if it was dropped. According to http://whois.domaintools.com it is not dropped. when I type in google site:site.com it shows the domain.

Ay ideas?

Go to semrush.com. If you see massive drops in traffic, there's a good chance that the domain was penalised.

I checked and only thing is coming up is organic keywords 2009-2011 changing from 10to2.
everything else is showing "not found"

Did you check the graph on the right hand side? If you see massive dips, I'd say don't risk it. Unless, you wanted to use the domain as part of a blog network.

The drop looks a bit suspicious, but then again, it only got like 10 hits or so a day. So, it could be traffic from the owner him/herself or just some random long-tail keywords traffic.

Hmm.. I don't see a problem with it. You have a spike there, which may or may not indicate something, but it's not a significant spike.

I'd wait for a couple more of the guys to come in.

Did you examine the chart on the right side side? If you see large falls, I'd say don't danger it. Unless, you desired to use the sector as aspect of a community. . . . . .
