Buying a YT channel for traffic ?

I just saw a guy selling his youtube channel - he has a few on the cheap on facebook. The channel is using reuploaded content which is probably CC videos but obviously it does not appear to be monatizable. Would be a good idea to buy the channel with the sole intention of changing the links to drive it to my site instead ?

Yeah - thats what I was thinking. What would be the safest way to buy it? I mean via escrow. Would buying through something like fameswap.com be safe? I was also wondering what are the chances of youtube banning the account right after the sale ? I don't mind it being unable to monatize but would be a little bit annoyed if it got banned right after I bought it lol. Are there anything else I should watch out for ?
