    Hello BHW,

I am looking to buy some websites already making money. I am little experienced now in the world of online marketing. I know the standard things to lookout for when buying a site like: quality of backlinks, check archive.org if there is not spam or pbn shit, organic reach, content etc.

Does somewhone haves a checklist or something or something else which he uses when buying a site? Thanks in advance :)

I'v purchased several sites with decent revenue over the years with no issues. People have many reasons for selling. Depending on the primary traffic course, watch out for sites claiming to make $600+/month with a $1000 asking price.

It sounds like you have a good grasp on the technical side of things and @Meddie also added some good points. I am a strategic consultant by trade (Business Strategy) and I would emplore you to look at that opportunity not just from the technical side of things but also the business side of things. What business-related-factors make it a prospective opportunity. Is there a market you have access to that you can exploit to drive traffic to the site. Are you a web designer and can improve upon the sites design. Can you better the copywriting. Could you offer more products, better support, or rank it more efficiently. Can you drive more social media traffic to it or work with social influencers to drive sales?

My advice: Unless you are in a scenario where you are paying at least 24x monthly revenue--then the business sale i not intended to benefit you but solely the seller. It may be that the business is declining in some way you are not privy to.

I would advise you attempt to start your own digital businesses so that you can learn what to do and what to look for. If you bank that start capital you have you could always come back to buy once you have started, run, and successfully sold a business yourself.

    Cheers

If you google websites for sale, you'll find a site that start with the letter F that sells website that are new and other sites that are established and are making money

well, I bought a site with a subscription plan. Turns out the subscriptions were tied to the old owners PayPal. In order to continue the subscriptions we would have had to cancel the existing subscriptions and had people sign up again. I opted not to do that because I didn't think a lot of the people would sign up again. I got luck and the old owner agreed to just send me the payments from the subscriptions each quarter. So.... check for this. You may not be as lucky.

I am extremely skeptical of buying digital assets because in most cases, it sounds too good to be true. A better option (if possible) is to have the payment of the sale price tied to the future performance of the site you're buying. Meaning if the performance significantly deteriorates, the seller shares it too.

First, you need to pay attention to income trends. Does the site's revenue continue to decline or even increase? Second, traffic quality!!!
