Alright,
So I am buying a blog, its earning around $350-400 per month from adsense.
I see, every time an avg. of 30-40 people are online at a time.
GA shows its receiving 4k+ traffic per day.

I am thinking to pay not more than $3,000, is the price okay? or am I paying too much for this website?

Do you check all visitor come from search engine? or direct traffic? If the maximum visitor comes from SE then you can go....

Check if the past few months traffic . From where that traffic comes. organic or direct traffic?
And 3000 is too high generally such site costs x3 - x6 avg monthly income . So revise the price according to it.

That's a load of crap, in general, a website is worth 10-12x monthly earnings. At the end of the day, a website is worth what someone will pay for it, that can be anything from a couple of months earnings up to 5 years worth of earnings.

Internet marketing is a business, and these websites are assets, anyone who let a website go for 3-6 months worth of revenue would be a moron in my opinion.

Check the age of the domain and the age of the blog!
Where the traffic comes from and if its reliable!
You will recover your money within a year so you have to be able to sustain the blog for a year!

But overall the price seems good for that income!
Good luck with your purchase!

contact brynon and meathead to check if the traffic was legit.

There are so many scammers there, just visit flippa.

if it's generating a decent income it seems like a fair price

I totally agree with you and krishnacode360 already mention plz check the GA status past 3 months before buy the blog you should be confirm the visitor is organic.

54% search, 18% direct and rest is referral.
80.4% is UV and rest returning.
6-7 months old blog.

Is it okay?

Sorry but you're both talking crap. The price should be based on the amount of profit, not the earnings/income. Calculate how much it will cost for expenses(hosting, content creation) and subtract that from the income - you can then use that figure to calculate the value.

If you are earning around $350-400 per month from adsense and there are 30-40 people are online at a time then i think it's ok.

If the profit level has been stable 6+ months then the $3000 would be justified otherwise I wouldn't pay more than 6x. Of course the traffic needs to be legit as well PR and link profile.

Based on so little information it's difficult/impossible to say whether the site and the price are OK or not.

As for the "valuation experts" above - please take everything they say with a grain/bucket of salt. Anybody who offers you their "professional valuation" based on the site's monthly revenue and nothing else is talking out of their backside as it's simply impossible to appraise a business with no information other than what you've provided.

There is some solid advice above, though - before putting in an offer make sure to check whether the site's traffic and revenue are stable and have been for some time (preferably over 4-5 months), whether traffic is likely legitimate or not (I'm seeing a few cases per day where sites with 90%+ spoofed traffic are being sold) and that everything else checks out.

If the website is for auction then there will be more buyers bidding more than your limit..

Also note if the website has been earning for quite a few months so as to get revenue for a long run...

Just curious how do you guys check the traffic of a website you are about to buy on Flippa?

Where it breaks it done into organic and paid?

The value of an asset is based on anticipated future income and risk. If somebody is selling a site making EASY money... AdSense combined with organic traffic... I would want to kick the tires 10 times and still would wonder what the catch is. There are so many things that can go wrong with a site within days of having it transferred to you (if shady) or within a few months even if the seller is straight with you. Some common "catches" include content that needs to be continually updated for the site to pull profits and websites that will eventually meet the Adsense banhammer. Also, of course, websites with misrepresented/manipulated sources of traffic or income.

before buying any site please check the Google analytics or any stats
ask the seller to share the screens through Teamviewer to see the real time stats and earnings
