Buying a twitter account or starting from scratch

Hey,

So someone wants to sell me a niched twitter account with 10,000 followers for $60

Is it worth it? or should I just start from scratch.

My thinking is that having 10k followers will help me get more followers faster than a fresh account

My goal is to use that twitter account for promotions

What would you look for when buying an account with followers

I'm a compete newb when it comes to social media!

If yes and the followers are engaged then might be worth a punt for $60.

Personally tho I'd go from scratch.

No, majority are from another general, so its better to start from scratch!
 
I would go from scratch and then there are plenty of ways to get you, followers, start from using tools for followers to natural ways with sharing good content, etc.
 
I ended up starting from scratch. Seems like the best way if i want to build a good presence over time. Thanks for the replies!

I would buy accounts with followers (good engagement) and use them grow new fresh accounts.
 
It's too cheap 10K followers account for only $60, I doubt the Twitter account having real audience engagement, you need to audit the engagement score of that Twitter account before purchase. Also ask the Twitter account owner to send you the screenshot of the Twitter analytic to see how much impression, engagement rate and link click generated. This way you can decide whether his account is in a good shape or not if everything seems bad then starting your new Twitter account will be the best option.

Check how the followers interact with the posts before you buy the account...
 
Good you started from scratch because sometimes having such a page with low engagement on Twitter despite having 10k followers also feels like starting from scratch.
 
I allways start from scratch when creating Twitter accounts. They are still super powerfull, and will grow quickly if you use them..

most sold likes carry little weight as there bot orientated
stick to organic where possible
