I was thinking about buying a financial blog from a buddy of mine. I have read that Google will penalize any sites when they are sold... is this true?

another forum was talking about how buying high PR sites and then using them for other purposes will get the site banned or sandboxed by Google... not true?

It will EVENTUALLY, but you'll have a good 2-3 month run.
