Buying a niche domain, need advice please

I'm buying a niche domain and need your advice whether it's worth it or not.

Based on Ahrefs data:

age: 10 years
url rank: 11
ahrefs domain rank: 46
backlinks: 950
refering domains: 138

Currently site is down and has been for few months. If I buy it I'd throw a blog on it and fill it with good content.

How much would this domain be worth? The guy is asking for 300.

No one who is serious can't tell you shit if they don't know URL (my opinion). These numbers are not talking the language of quality, rather quantity

You need to do your homework.
Check web.archive and check backlinks quality. If the backlinks are clean and worthed more than $300... use your common sense.

What is the name of the domain? People would not take the interest to buy the domain if they do not have an idea on what it is about. You will just get a bunch of private messages which will require you to tell them the domain name. You better say what the domain name is now.

THE BACKLINKS! I'm a experience expired domain hunter. when I find a domain with high metrics and a lot of backlinks, I examing each backlinks and the backlinks of the backlinks. Out of the 350 backlinks that is on the domain name you want to buy, I bet there are spam links, and what I mean by spam links is , Chinese looking website, viagra sites, link exchanges, Louis Vuitton bootleg handbags, etc.. It's a must that you know how spammy links look. I don't care if it has 1 million links, if they are spammy, the domain isn't worth spit. The best domains have high metrics with little backlinks, that is one way to tell that your backlink are good.
