I have a question when buying gmail accounts, after changing the 2FA phone number/email, do you have to wait 7-10 days to be able to change the gmail password? because it keeps asking the phone number for the old owner even when the recoveryphone number and email is already changed to verify so that i can change the password?

If it still asks old phone then account is not fully secured yet. Google keeps risk checks for some days after big changes. Usually better to age the account a bit before trying more edits or it locks.
 
7 days might be overkill, waiting 2 would probably be enough

Still not able to changed password because acc recovery phone/email was recently changed. It’s been 7 days and if I try to changed password there is no other choice but to use old owners phone number because it’s saying since phone number was recently changed, you can temporarily use the old number linked. So I’m assuming I have to wait more to changed password. Because the recovery email and phone number had already been changed and when I logged in it will ask to verify through new linked number but when changing password there is no other option yet

I guess I after to wait more than 7 days to changed password, because there is no other option to verify it will still ask old owners phone number instead of mine
 
In my opinion, aged accounts work much better when they are introduced gradually. Sudden changes in IP or login behavior often trigger security checks.
 
Google enforces a 7-day security cooldown AFTER you change recovery information (phone number or email). During this period, Google may still send verification codes to the previous owner's contact info for sensitive actions like changing the password. And sometimes this is even up to 14 days in high-risk scenarios.
 
This applies when you change the recovery information. Either way; 7-10 days is still good since that helps keep the account safer.
 
Google usually puts a temporary security hold after major changes like recovery info updates. Sometimes it takes more than 7 days before the old phone requirement disappears.
