Depends who the person you want to verify is and how he looks. It will work, if done right. Quality images on profile, public appearances in front of a crowd, articles, etc. Now, I don't know if the service you are talking about is a scam or not.

If you have around 10-12 articles on Google news approved top editorial sites, you can get verified. But you need to know legit sellers who work with insiders.

I believe the market price is anywhere around $5K for getting it.

Most of them can't do this. They just advertise this service. Only very few people can do this and it costs lots.

I don't think people offer this service for 1500$ as I can see many people doing this for quite high price. Go for anything but after making proper research and getting sure that your job can be done.
