Buy traffic ? good or should i never do that

I saw on the Smm panel i generally use, that they sell website traffic for pretty cheap

I'm not really in SEO, but i'm just wondering if that can be good, or pretty bad to do ? i guess traffic = highter rank

But i also guess that it's depend of the traffic quality, like good traffic = highter rank, but bad traffic = big penality and kill website ? or even "good traffic" is generally bad ?

What you guys thinks about it

you've answered to all of your questions :)

Although I've never heard of sites being "killed" (whatever you mean by this) because of bad traffic. In the best case scenario bad traffic does nothing to your site, and in the worst it might de-rank you, I've never seen sites being de-indexed because of bad traffic for example...

Anyway, if you are able to get high quality (non-google) traffic google can indeed boost your rankings. But that type of traffic is hard to get without PPC...

i see, or yeah your right, if they was penalizing website for bad traffic, poeple could just send massive bad traffic to their concurence for few dollars and de-rank them lol

Need probably hight quality traffic, that stay a long time on the website, click other page etc, just a click and leave massivly without any wait will probably do nothing

That sound interesting also, maybe i could build a bot for that :smirk: sending hight quality traffic that stay on website and click on link etc like real human, interesting

But will require hight quality proxy + fake user well made, i guess pretty complex, hacker would be better in that field, like poeple that do DDOS using infected machine across the world, but i'm not in that field and don't really want too, anyway was interesting field

i feel like this kind of traffic is mostly used for:

1. ad fraud – inflating numbers in ad networks
2. artificially boosting analytics for clients by shady seo contractors

for actual seo, it seems pretty pointless to me

SEO-wise, it depends on the type of traffic, definitely not SMM traffic, it's totally useless,
If you want things to work, you want human-like traffic, that won't get detected, as you need it to be tracked,

That would require a wide range of good (mobile/residential) proxies, device(s) fingerprints, good UX signals, etc...
And secondly, you must get Chrome traffic, with a good proportion users searching Google for the specific keywords,
That's the only way that Google would basically "know" about the traffic in the first place,

SMM panels & other cheap traffic sellers would typically use different programs & browsers to get things done,
So, the traffic won't be tracked in the first place
 
Stay away from SMM panels for fake traffic.

Probably not gonna do anything other than using your server bandwidth.
 
But many EMDs in my niche sending traffic and achieved 1st page for many years. Is there any way find out how they send all real like traffic to rank higher?
