Buy Tiger Some Food!

Damn I should have scrolled down. I just donated to the kitty fund. Read 3 posts and sent money. Hope you get it bro.

Thanks to Zero-day donations are closed for good :) I have more than enough for 2 months maybe even more thanks too you guys and i should be able to support tiger by then, Thank you very much, I have PMed all that donated and will make sure to stay in touch and keep updated, BIG thanks too chad also! Take care guys :)

While I know you have the best of intentions, please don't close donations. Leave them open so others can enjoy giving to a worthwhile cause. I'm happy to see my donation was accepted and I'm sure there are others that won't mind pitching in a few dollars. I guess what I'm saying is don't steal someone else's joy. There are many that believe like me that it's better to give then to receive. I would have been disappointed if I missed the opportunity to pitch in. Please leave it open so others can contribute also.

God Bless and there really is more to this world than money. I have 5 pets that were once homeless and they keep me sane on some days.

All of the pets in my (entire)family where all once strays. Recently(in April) I lost a cat(black cat) due to Lung Cancer, had her for I believe about 12 years or so, took her in, she wasn't going to make it due to a big gash over her one eye from a fight or something. The vet said she had less than a week or so to live so he asked if we would like to put her to sleep or take her home. We took her home and later that night, the other cat that I had at the time, she swiped it open with her claw, the puss poured out, blood, etc. Saw that, put neosporin on it, don't remember what we did to keep her from touching it, but long story short, that cat had it's life saved and shared it's life with me and my family for 12 or so years.

Whenever I see a stray pet, big or small, I think of the following two poems I found when my cousin lost her dog to cancer on the "Rainbow Bridge" website. It's a website dedicated to pet poems, for pet's that have cancer, that are strays, etc.

Lost Pet
I stood by your bed last night, I came to have a peep,
I could see that you were crying, you found it hard to sleep.
I whined to you softly as you brushed away a tear,
"It's me, I haven't left you, I'm well, I'm fine, I'm here".
I was close to you at breakfast, I watched you pour the tea,
You were thinking of the many times your hands reached down to me.
I was with you at the shops today, your arms were getting sore.
I longed to take your parcels, I wish I could do more.
I was with you at my grave today, you tend it with such care.
I want to reassure you, that I'm not lying there.
I walked with you towards the house, as you fumbled for your key.
I gently put my paw on you, I smiled and said "it's me".
You looked so very tired, and sank into a chair,
I tried so hard to let you know, that I was standing there.
It's possible for me, to be so near you every day.
To say to you with certainty, "I never went away".
You sat there very quietly, then smiled, I think you knew...in the
stillness of that evening, I was very close to you.
The day is over...I smile and watch you yawning
and say "goodnight, God bless, I'll see you in the morning".
And when the time is right for you to cross the brief divide,
I'll rush across to greet you and we'll stand side by side.
I have so many things to show you, there is so much for you to see.
Be patient, live your journey out...then come home to be with me.

Ten Commandments for a Responsible Pet Owner
1. My life is likely to last 10 to 15 years. Any separation from you will be very painful.

2. Give me time to understand what you want of me.

3. Place your trust in me -- it is crucial for my well-being.

4. Don't be angry with me for long, and don't lock me up as punishment. You have your work, your friends, your entertainment. I have only you.

5. Talk to me. Even if I don't understand your words, I understand you voice when it's speaking to me.

6. Be aware that however you treat me, I'll never forget it.

7. Before you hit me, remember that I have teeth that could easily crush the bones in your hand, but I choose not to bite you.

8. Before you scold me for being lazy or uncooperative, ask yourself if something might be bothering me. Perhaps I'm not getting the right food, I've been out in the sun too long, or my heart may be getting old and weak.

9. Take care of me when I get old. You, too, will grow old.

10. Go with me on difficult journeys. Never say "I can't bear to watch it" or "Let it happen in my absence." Everything is easier for me if you are there. Remember, I love you.

Also, one other thing - no one deserves to die alone. Human, Cat, Dog, Ferret, Bird, etc. no one deserves to die alone no matter how sick.

wow... Im speechless yet again... Your so right no human, animal or any living thing deserves to die alone no matter how sick....This reminds me of my uncle who died from cancer about 3 months ago... Still angers me like crazy how his life went... He died almost lonely, but its a long story,he had a family...

I dont know what to say. If anyone wants too donate they may and god bless them, But i do agree, when i was making good money i would donate almost every single penny i made or gave it away too people who needed it the most like my mother and brother.

I just want to jump in here and say thanks to you backontrack for taking Tiger in. You really did do it a great thing and you helped save his life. Had you not found him, who knows what would have happened.

One thing I would recommend doing that a few others have also mentioned, is try to find a cheaper vet to bring Tiger to for a checkup and any shots he may need. Since he was most likely a stray living outside, he may have some medical issues that need attention. Hopefully with the donations people have sent, you will be able to get the vet bills covered.

About 9 months ago I actually found a whole family of kittens and their mom living outside so I brought them all in. There was the mom cat and her 5 babies and I was fostering them until they all found somewhere to go. I already had a cat I adopted about 7 years ago and unfortunately 7 cats is just way too much for me to take care of forever so I wasn't able to keep the ones I found, but I took care of them until we found a good place for them to go. It does feel good knowing I helped them and potentially saved their lives because I don't know if they would have survived on their own outside.

I think this cat will definitely change your life for the best though. I look at mine that I adopted 7 years ago as my own child and I don't know what I would do without her. It feels great having a companion like that. You made a really good decision keeping Tiger.

Zero-day you're an awesome person as well. I've been reading some of the posts you made in this thread and the other one for Tiger and it's really cool the way you look at animals and the donations you make for them and everything. I try to donate a good amount as well to different animal charities. It feels really good knowing you're able to help other living things like that especially since these days it just seems like everyone is so selfish and only cares about their own well-being.

For others who are interested, here's a really cool Facebook community that helps keep animals off death-row: http://www.facebook.com/petpardons Basically whenever an animal or group of animals is in a kill-shelter and is nearing their euthanization date, Pet Pardons will send out notifications and you can "advocate" for them or even adopt them if you're looking for a new pet. It helps save a ton of lives.

Just spoken to backontrack, and he seems like such a good person with an incredibly large heart.

I'm happy for him to keep my donation whatever the outcome. I would happily pay people to act in a way similar to backontrack- selflessly putting others in front of himself, even though he is so young. This world would be a lot better place if more people shared his outlook and giving nature.

I hope everything works out for you mate.

Backontrack you can keep my donation...its donated I think you can use it anyway

Update: She is going to be sent too a home with good people and a family, I cant keep her with me in the position i am in, and i promise if any of you guys where in my shoes you would understand my situation and why i cant, I've realized so much from this experience and running across tiger happened for a reason, As some people now i love cars and they cheer me up, so i was looking at them and realized how pointless they are, And i kept thinking to my self id rather have tiger then a stupid machine... Then i ran across great people who are willing too help me out,And its crazy how Ferma brought up the name tiger, Thats what i named my friends kitten that he was going too give me when i was 12, And it was the same looking kitten, Almost the same one. As soon as i got her home i was extremely motivated, It was motivation that i never had felt before, like a "must achieve" motivation, I began too plan things out,etc more better, Right now i need time to think and i want everyone too realize things more, I want everyone too learn from this, Like zero-day said no animal nor human should ever die alone... If i was able to keep her i would with no problem at all but it just cant happen. Shes in a better position right now, well kept, safe and happy, It was such a hard choice but its a choice that is best. Thank you too everyone who helped out and wished me luck, Take care, Wake up thankful everday to not be in someone elses position, in jail, poor, some dont even have a decent home too sit down and call it "Home" and have good sleep and eat, etc. Stay blessed.

This may be ironic as I run a CPA Company, but money isn't anything to me. I would rather make $50,000 and donate it all to charity as compared to making $50,000 and buying a new Cadillac, now mind you, I do love cars, but the things I cherish most - a roof over my head, food to eat, clean water, the basic necessities, now mind you, I do have a few things to entertain myself with such as a computer, cell phone, games, etc. I do enjoy the finer things in life, but I donate to charities as much as I can and as often as I can. Most people you hear say they want to accomplish becoming a doctor, or a game developer, or some "big shot" such as Google. All I ask for out of life, personally, is to be remembered, to make a difference.

Personally, I am a very selfless person(the opposite of selfish).

But to BackOnTrack - you have saved a life, it is not your fault that you where not able to keep her, it may not of been her place(to be with you) but it was your place to be there for her, to find her to take her in. Everything is a "chain" when you think about it. If however you came about being on BHW you would of never gotten the massive out-pour of help like you did from the community, who knows, if you never got interested into making money online, you would of never stumbled on to BHW. It's a long chain of events that came to the point that we are at now, but in the end, the result was / is a life has been saved. Some people may view it as only a cat, but now what if you where that cat, seeing something at least 50x bigger than you, that could easily crush you to death under their foot, having that "giant" treat you with such love and care, be gentle with you not to hurt you. Personally, knowing someone helps someone(animal or human) it gives me hope that there are some nice people left in the world.

Brother I got your PM and when I give it's from the heart. I don't expect anything in return and your genuine thanks was more than repayment. You use the money any way you see fit. If it's buying a domain, investing in another venture or picking up a cup of coffee it's all cool with me.

You're a rare gem in the online marketing world. Most of us have protection shields up and very few posts can penetrate those and touch our hearts. Your honesty shines like a beacon and I'm happy to call you a friend.

Best regards and you don't owe me a thing.

Wow... " Some people may view it as only a cat, but now what if you where that cat, seeing something at least 50x bigger than you, that could easily crush you to death under their foot, having that "giant" treat you with such love and care, be gentle with you not to hurt you" I will always remember this! Thats amazing, seeing that kittens point of view? Being in that position! Thats like a dinosaur taking care for a human... Speechless again...And i was thinking the same earlier, Screw the cadillac, Im thinking too start a charity once im older,or make huge investments towards charities, I dont believe they get the support they deserve seriously... This actually pisses me off because i see people do the most pointless dumb crap with there money when they could have improved, even saved lives... I will always remember what you said, that really made me realize even more!

i just saw the thread now.
sorry to hear that you can't keep the kitten with you as i know what it would have ment for you.
but as i told you before, if you still need anything just let me know.

to the other members: thanks for your support, in my opinion backontrack is one of the few people you meet online that really deserve to get help and support.
i had some long chats on skype with him already for several months and although he is quite young he's more adult in his mind than many older people and really deserves to be supported to finally make his dreams come true...

Thank you very much brother, Nothing you do good gets unnoticed and unappreciated trust me, That goes for everyone.

Sorry you weren't able to keep Tiger. At least you were able to find a home for him though.

Just out of curiosity, is the home that Tiger went to someone you know, or how did you find them?
