What is everyone's thought on buying links to gain SERPS, I've heard some people say its a good way and some say to stay away from it, so how can it hurt?

I don't know about this either. Have heard the same thing and am interested in learning the same thing. Anyone have links to places where they can be purchased? Not low quality but really high quality PR7+ sites. Thanks everyone.

It's indeed useful for getting better positions as long as the site that displays your links does not get caught. Otherwise, it loses its PR and does not transfer juice to you site anymore.
The most dangerous part is selling links, not buying.

Think about it. Buying links will NOT affect your site in a negative way. If it did - I would do it to all my competitors

people can report sites and people that sell links

if you are gonna buy do it on the "down low" hush hushhhhh

it's not bad practice if you buy or sell to relevant sites (even though Big G frowns on all link buying). Your chances of getting caught doing it are less likely if they look legit.

Links that have exactly the same anchor text in a variety of websites become suspect.

There are a number of services for this, that let you manage your link program. Anyone had success with one?

there are a few services out there. tnx, etc..however big G is starting to punish sites that use them. Best rule of thumb is to target related sites yourself...email them and ask what it would cost to add a link to you (or make an offer). Yes, it's time consuming and can get quite expensive, but it DOES work.

Hey RDNk_web. I think you may be onto it. I have been contemplating the ask to buy link program for awhile. My plan. email a request for purchase to similar keyword related sites. My feeling is exact key word would balk. and offer to pay for a year at a time. Any other recommendations?
