I'm thinking of starting a niche site. But I wonder what is the best thing to do

1. Buy a quality expired domain name in my niche and write new content
2. Buy a pre-made site with quality content for my niche on a site like flippa.com?

any tips?

Buy aged non dropped domain with good link profile is best way to go , it will help you rank faster .

any advice on good places to buy quality expired domains?

Is option 2 coming with an expired / auctioned domain also?

are there any big cons of buying an expired domain if the domain is good with no penalties and good backlinks? Can I just start putting up a new website theme on it and add new content?

I would say go with the option that will bring you the most success.

Don't worry, I'm a Jr. ViP, that means I know what I'm talking about.

If the options really are < Aged-Niche-Domain VS Pre-Made-Site > then it seems like the group agrees that the aged domain is better if you can get it in your niche with a decent backlink profile. Don't rely on the salesmanship of Flippa. You can always create the content yourself or hire someone to create the site or content. The one thing you can't do is reverse time and create a domain.

So, focus on what you can control - Quality Content & Quality Marketing

What about the backlink profile on the expired domain, there might a lot of broken or dead backlinks and if i put up new content, is there any rebuilding process of some sort or similar?
