When you buy a list you don't know how many times it's been blasted and you don't know how fresh the emails are.

When you scrape them you know exactly where they're from and that at the very least they are posted somewhere to be reached in present day.

Scrapebox and GSA Scraper are both excellent. SB has email harvesting plugin too. You leave it running in a Windows VPS overnight and in the morning you see all the fish jumping in the net.

The VPS is a great tool you can leave on 24 hours a day. If you run it at home you might have disruptions. there are other benefits of a VPS too. How many proxies? Well it depends on how intense the crawling is. Most proxy subscriptions here on BHW will be more than enough for you to scrape.
