Buy crypto with Skrill on Bitpanda?

So I'm looking for a way to buy Crypto with Skrill, and then transfer the crypto to a wallet.

I found Spectrocoin and Bitpanda. Both of these seem to work in my country, and you can buy crypto with Skrill, and you can move the crypto to a different wallet.

Spectrocoin seems to have 8.50% fee to buy with Skrill

Bitpanda seems to have $1 + 3.60% fee to buy with Skrill

So I guess Bitpanda is the winner. Although I'm not sure if Bitpanda accepts USD, which is what I have. I may have to convert the USD into EUR first, which would probably incur another fee/bad conversion rate.

But I'm hesitant...

Anyone uses Bitpanda? They legit?

Any other method to buy crypto with Skrill?

Here is what I'm charged for a $500 deposit.

I have this weird feeling that the moment I deposit funds, someone will reply here and give me a better way.

I also have this other weird feeling that I'll deposit funds, buy some crypto, and then get a big fuck you when I try to move the crypto to a different wallet... and my money will be stuck in Bitpanda.

So I'll hold on for a bit, go buy some food and whatnot, and if no one comes up with a better way or a reason why I shouldn't do this, I'm all ears.???

Skrill doesn't issue cards in my country. So that won't work.

I hold about $7,000 in crypto. So I guess you're wrong there.

I did some research, they've been around for a while, they seem legit. I read good things about them. They also have an annoying KYC process, which I did, and seems very legit.

But I can't know if they're legit 100% until I use them. Using them means moving money and crypto around. So that's why I ask. Maybe a well-respected member of the forum pops in and gives me good reasons as to why Bitpanda isn't legit, and then I do further research or give up on this idea altogether.

I checked Localbitcoin, and there's only 1 guy in my country that accepts Skrill. On page page he writes:

"i accept only gambling funds and merchant funds"

And not only that, but he wants verifications and whatnot. And my funds are not gambling (whatever that means) and not merchant either.

Can I trade on Localbitcoins from people who are not from my country?

But in truth, if my fee on Localbitcoins would be 5% anyway, I might as well do it with Bitpanda, no?

Oh I forgot, Localbitcoins is only Bitcoins, right?

I don't wanna buy Bitcoins right now, the transfer fee alone would cost me too much.

I was thinking more to get Litecoin on Bitpanda, and transfer that to my wallet. Small transfer fee.

I also found this site called Paybis.

So their fee is 2.95%, while Bitpanda is $1 + 3.60%

I'm not sure what the Skrill fee is though. When I go to pay with Bitpanda, I went up to the final page, and there was no Skrill fee.

I would also like to mention, on contacting them on Bitpanda is a pain in the ass, they have no live chat.

On Paybis I used their live chat, and a very helpful person replied to me immediately and answered my questions. Actually answered my questions, not like when gaypal or skrill answer support tickets and you know they'll answer everything except the question you asked them.

So Paybis apparently doesn't have their own wallet. So if I understand it correctly - you buy, and you send the crypto to your own address immediately.

Next, if you haven't tried, go to Binance, P2P trading. Just like LocalBitcoins, Binance is the escrow here. Filter by Skrill, buy whatever is worth buying (not every seller has good rates). Then you can exchange on Binance to BHW coin or something.

Well, so I tried registering on Binance, and I'm unable to input an email address.

Then I did a quick google search and a post from Reddit from 2019, guy says Binance is not available in my country. Could be I can't use Binance.

Yup. You need to add phone number (if you didn't) for p2p trading.
You don't need to buy USDT, Look at exchange price for BNB, BTC or whatever is listed there and see if you find a better deal. In my case USDT was best. I used it yesterday with Revolut (which doesn't allow sending money to crypto exchanges, long story).

Well, here is what I'm looking at.

Bitpanda

Buy USD with Skrill at $1 + 3.60% fee

Then convert the USD into LTC on Bitpanda (possibly a fee here)

And then withdraw the LTC to external wallet (possibly another fee here).

Paybis

Buy LTC and have it sent directly to my wallet

For $500 USD I receive 2.71296726 LTC, or $467.39 worth.

So my fee on $500 is $32.61, if I understand it correctly.

So I ended up going with Paybis.

From the beginning I liked how they have live chat, and the person answering questions is an actual human, who actually answers the actual fucking question! (fuck you gaypal)

I also liked how I send them FIAT, and they sent me the Crypto directly to any address I choose immediately (took 5 minutes). No bullshit depositing fiat on platform, then exchanging it for crypto, then withdrawing crypto wallet, yada yada yada. I think this is what I would have to do with Bitpanda, and I don't need the hassle.

And Binance P2P, you're dealing with people, and that's a recipe for disaster. Plus add to that that my payment method is Skrill, and there's all this bullshit about "I only accept gambling money" or "I only accept Forex" money or "I don't accept Mastercard" money. It's just some bullshit on Skrill, you have different "kinds of money." I don't understand it to be honest, because money is money right, but there's some weirdness about it on Skrill, and I don't need the fucking headache.

But Paybis really came through. Very nice.

I transferred another $300+ worth, all smooth.

Processing the $50 transaction took them 5 minutes. Processing the $300 one took them 10 minutes.

All in all, a very smooth process.

So the total fee when paying with Skrill seems to be around 7%. Maybe i could have gotten away with 5% doing some P2P or something, but fuck it, this was easy and hassle-free.

I'll also note that when i first tried depositing money on Bitpanda i received the SMS for verification, but when i tried again the SMS never arrived. And Bitpanda's KYC was a pain in the dick. They even asked where i got the money and my net worth and all these question. Invasive pricks!

But on Paybis it was all smooth. The KYC was easy and quick, regular stuff. No weird questions, i didnt have to send them my dick pics, all smooth.

Paybis > Bitpanda
