Hi, a client has an App in the App store, its fresh new and has no reviews. We need some reviews so that it shows a good star rating, currently no stars are displayed bc there are no reviews.

I'm afraid that apple bans the Dev Acc, which would be vary bad because we cant easily create a new one.

Is the risk of banning high when purchasing reviews? What would you guys do?

Same question here, i see big apps that clearly use it to raise their ratings, but afraid of loosing all the work done.

Its ok to purchase reviews sometimes or the risk does not compensate it? Any advice of trustable sites to do it?

You need to boost installs and reviews by ~10 percent (no more). If you do it non-aggressively, there will be no problems. As an example: we boosted motivated installs for our project (geo: world) at 800 per day (first two weeks), then we moved to 5k per day, there was no ban. But I won't say that this is guaranteed, just personal experience.

Don't do it. Apple can and will recognize it. I did it once, just for a couple of reviews, and then just a few days later received an email by them:

We're writing to inform you that your company isn't in compliance with the Apple Developer Program License Agreement (DPLA).
Section 11.2 (Termination) states:

(g) if You engage, or encourage others to engage, in any misleading, fraudulent, improper, unlawful or dishonest act relating to this Agreement, including, but not limited to, misrepresenting the nature of Your Application (e.g., hiding or trying to hide functionality from Apple’s review, falsifying consumer reviews for Your Application, engaging in payment fraud, etc.).

Be aware that manipulating App Store chart rankings, user reviews or search index may result in the loss of your developer program membership.

Please address this issue promptly.

I know, getting reviews is really tough, but if I would be you, I wouldn't put the developer account at any risk.

And I was already getting hundreds of downloads per day organically, then just bought around 10-20 reviews per day. I kept it as natural as possible.
