Business prospects: Mailchimp competitor

Hi folks

I wrote there mailchimp competitor so that you may check the post. I know I can't compete with them

They are huge
But I was trying to make some estimates

I have got an in-house application build and completely ready to launch
Hopefully will be on your browsers by 1st April

Now the question
I am planning to put some 1000usd a month in online marketing
Fb marketing
Bhw marketplace
Google adwords
Free enterprise accounts to big blog owners
Affiliate programs
And few more

Pricing to be offered
1$ for 1000 emails
Base plan starts 5$

What kind of numbers should I expect with this strategy

I am sure we have some serious online business owners here on the forum to share their knowledge

u can not compete with them with marketing

the real issue is having communication with email providers and let them accept your emails

I planned to use mandrill for SMTP server they are good with inboximg
I guess after this
mail acceptance issue should be solved
what say?

Have you you tried your hands on this

You do realize mandrill is apart of Mailchimp if you didn't know.

but how is it going to matter
and we have Amazon ses as well
I already I know can't compete with them

Why would people use you instead of mail chimp?

You will be fighting a multi million dollar company, $1000 aint going to cut it son.

OP, sounds like this is essentially a white label service with custom aspects since its based upon Mail Chimp's mandril, correct? As such what is your bottom line and costs, etc? You need a core of users, and you need a niche. I was thinking of building something similar to this once but never could figure out a profitable angle. Ideally this needs to be offered as part of a larger and more specific service.

There IS no bottom line of blind advertising anybody can give you. You need to find your niche or find a unique service to implement this within. Lucky for you here on BHW has more than enough niches that the big boys won't get their hands dirty with. Instead of looking to blow $1,000 you need to be hustling and bootstrapping here. A simple joint venture post may be a good start.

yes to 99.99 percent users it will show only my name in the bottom area as powered by
just few guys know to click show original button in Gmail where deep study will show it is coming from mandrill

point 2- mandrill has base plan of 10 usd upto 500 subscribers
now this client I expect to shoot 4000 emails a month which is twice a week
And I am planning no plan based on subscribers
just based on number of emails
which will be 5 usd for 5000 emails

I feel it will surely get 100 clients a month at 5 usd a month
and in this pricing I make 400 usd

which is cool to me to begin

Already got clients of total sending 100k emails in a day

The idea is good but need to really know what you're doing. Reliability is key if you can establish regular happy clients you will do well. Start small and scale up.
