Business directory sites for backlinks

hey guys,

I'm working on improving our SEO on our company website and semrush has suggested some recommended backlinks, most of which are website directories.

one particular recommendation was a local directory site that has a domain rating (according to ahrefs) of 56 and 42

The downside is, the cost of listing is about $50

my question is, are these types of links worth paying for, or is my money better spent elsewhere?

See if you can find some good traffic guest post sites in your niche website then that will be better to spend here

Directories really haven't been relevant for quite a few years now.

Some low OBL private directories for free might be considered for a bit of diversity, but otherwise nope.

Absolutely not worth $50.

You would get similar results by just being in a popular hashtag on twitter for a few days/weeks as A LOT of aggregators will pickup the domain
