Lol
This is insane. But I think their competitor will come back for better counter apps.
It creates high definition war

Man, I hate to have poor man's taste buds. I just love fast food so much... everything on the menu is so fucking delicious yet I cannot bring myself to eat that stuff more than once every couple of months. Those are some juicy commercials

Is it referring to burning ads as some kind of marketing term or luterally burning them?

I'd seen some tv ads when I was in Florida, where Burger King were trying to play down KFC, with the tag line 'A king always outranks a Colonel' which made me laugh.

When you consider the size of the fast food market out there in the States plus all the competing brands it is a massive market and you need to be creative in marketing.

1. Insulting the competitor in marketing is never a good move. It always ends up benefiting him, you are indirectly saying that he is better than you.
2. Peps will get habit to free things with a consequent lowering of perceived value, will abuse this and when the promotion ends, everyone will go to McDonald's.
3. They are practically asking people to expose themselves to the advertisements of others.
4. A simple ads, which says "we don't need to insult others, because we are the best" has already closed the games. (Ps. ads that people will have to search and scan).

How to give a market to your competitors.

Yes, it's a crazy ad. And I love the fight of the ads between BurgerKing and Macdonalds, so let's see what Macdo will prepare...will be awesome too

I don't know a single person that actually prefers Burger King to McDonalds.

thanks for a serious post and useful information on April fool's day vibes.

in my country, ads that "attacking" other competitor is not allowed
but instead, they give vouchers that we can "abuse" with (example : multiple simcard number claim , etc)
