Hello all,

I'm new to the forum and this is my first post.

Sorry if this question has been answered, but couldn't find the answer I was looking for.

I have a Twitter account which is about 4 or 5 years old. I used a mass follow tactic to grow my account within its niche. When I maxed out on being able to follow more people, I bought followers and repeated the process.

It worked.

However, Twitter looks like they have cleaned up recently and removed all my fake followers (about 13k of them), but they also look like they have cleaned up third party apps from bulk unfollowing.

I have about 13,000 people I follow, who I want to unfollow (they don't follow me back).

Does anyone have any good suggestions for doing this?

don't unfollow more than 200 people a day. I haven't used them in a while but, if you have an I-phone check the app store (surprisingly in my experience these apps are better than desktop ones) or look at sites like manageflitter.

Thank you : )

Take it from someone who has an account with over 600,000+ followers, (all real)... you can unfollow as many as you want a day.

I think you'll find it's because you have that many followers... I promise you if you unfollow en-mass with a normal account you will be given a penalty

Maybe you can but I don't think this is good advice. And just because you can today, doesn't mean twitter won't use that as a metric against you tomorrow.

I would always urge you to err on the side of caution and take your time, go slow and steady.

I agree.

You can't unfollow as many as you want per day? You can't do anything as many as you want per day in social media. Follow, unfollow, like, retweet, reply, message, tweet, you can't do any of it as many as you want per day. That's just dangerous advice man.

What you can do is you can lose as many accounts as you want per day. You can get banned as many accounts as you want all day every day.

Does anyone have any suggestions on how best to unfollow everyone on the new twitter? the chrome extensions and other options i've found no longer work with the new twitter format.
