Since you're wanting to copy the file not rename it, you can use the following command if you're running Windows. Just open a command prompt, change to the directory with the file you want to copy (I'd suggest a temp directory) and execute the following:

    Code:
    for /L %f (1,1,10000) do copy filename.txt %ffilename.txt
This will make 10,000 copies of the file "filename.txt". You can change the "10000" value to be whatever you want and it will make that many copies. Also, set "filename.txt" to the name of the actual file you want to copy (change it in both places), but make sure to leave the "%f" in both places.

    The end result will be...
    1filename.txt
    2filename.txt
    3filename.txt
    ...
    10000filename.txt
