I'm in the process of creating an email server system.

Basically, it involves running a MTA on a few low-cost VPS servers and then running an EMS + MTA Management Console on a different, higher quality server.... saw a write up here on BHW.

The logic here is that in case one of the low-cost servers gets flagged for spam I can just chop it and start a new one without losing all my stuff... kinda cool

I've got aged contacts from previous opt-ins, but my question here involves some scraped lists that I've acquired.

I have read all of the CAN-SPAM acts details and believe I can adhere to them with the opt-in list. But, idk what to do about the scraped lists. I understand this is a black hat technique and there's no real "legal" way to send messages to scraped lists. But if I do decide to use the scraped list and blast out messages, what's the best way I can cover my ass?

Would off-shore VPS servers help me avoid getting into hot water?

I plan on being conservative and not sending out more than 100 messages per hour.

Any help in being sneaky would be appreciated.

@anis12 where we can buy, updated email data? i did't find any recent post where people are selling email data. if you can suggest one, i would appreciate it.

Hey mate, thanks for the tip. I appreciate it.
And if SMTP is not the right way, what would you advise? MailChimp/Aweber or any other you want to advise?

Waiting for your reply. :)
