Hey guys....

I am doing some selling on amazon.com and I need a way to scrape upc codes for products off a site based on a keyword....

For instance lets say I am searching for upc codes for sneakers...I need some sort of tool that will give me the names and all the upc codes of shoes under the keyword "nike" on amazon and pull all the products names and upc codes so I can bulk upload them...

Hope this makes sense...can anyone help with this?

Actually ASIN numbers would be even better than UPC codes!

your best bet would be to go over to scriptlance and get something built.. Probably get something for $30..:)

I can help scrape the data for you. $30 for 1000 products. PM me if interested. Thanks.

You can use amazon web services to fetch asin based on keywords and then details using itemsearch. But now Amazon respond only to signed requests.

I had written a script to fetch and populate products in Joomla site using signed request. It works fine. there are few commercial scripts available like joomla shop builder or CMS ShopBuilder etc. Another one reviewazon which is wordpress plugin. Some of these scripts don't make seo friendly link urls(show direct affiliate links). My script makes seo friendly urls, hiding affiliate links thro mysql/ php redirect.

I had put up two sites using my script which fetches products from amazon and CJ product feeds. Now only traffic started coming. Let me see how it works out.

I heard that as per amazon TOS we should not save or cache product details more than 24 hrs. Is that so, do they ban if we store details in our cms database? :)Any vip member please clarify this:)

My suggestion is use webservices route to get the details you want.

i have a coded a windows tool in .NET which does exactly the thing you want to have, pm me the price you would pay

Just mentioned this in another threat, but I have been using this http://www.optimalproductfinder.com/ for some time now with great success. More expensive, but well worth it. Search the internet for some discount codes.

the link above uses the API, so it is no scraper. for example you cant get comments with it.

doczoidberg, you are right in saying it used the API.

However you are wrong in your comments remark. Optimal Product Finder actually provides up to 10 comments (where provided by the API). Using the scraper, I found that most (>95%) of the items have comments. Have a look at the screencast and you see them too.

I came across this post via google so I'll just cross post my post from another forum here

I'm currently working on Amazon scraper and would like to get your info on features you would like to have included

Tool will be on sale for $149 but if you decide to pre-order it you'll get it for $99 + early version for testing

If I can get enough pre-orders you can expect first working version within week.

I expect it to work on mac and Linux but I'll need few testers so it will be released few days after windows version.

If you have any question please post it here

I might be interested in this also.
