Buliding and running a webcamsite. Need help.

Hi guys. Well thing is i see opportunities in some kind of sex-webcamsite, probably built like chaturbate My number 1 webcam-sexsite that is free. Well sort of, you can buy tokens to watch the more sexy content.

Okay i googled "building a webcam website", and a post came up on this site. Cant post link, but google building a webcam site and there is a link to this site from 2013.
Thats exactly what Im looking at.
Guys where do I find a complete websitetemplate(or whatever its called when you buy a complete website and then you put content and stuff and mod it) for webcams like chaturbate? Thats the model im going for, a pure webcam-site, good and easy userinterface, token system, backupsystem and so on. But its going to be EXPENSIVE to get someone to code and write everything from scratch.

That my start, to get a very good template to work with and build on.
I read the other thread I link to, and there are very useful questions like: Desired traffic, how much each member convert to $ appr, startup cost and running cost etc.
I only have 10-12.000$ to start with, and only focus on girls from a certain country to start with. I have great visions and plans for this site, but first of all I need to know how to build the site, and how much it will cost. I guess the most costeffective way will be to buy a template and modify it to suit my needs.


Thing is I will try to run and operate the rooms where the webcams are running from, to control everything about the site, and profit more from the extrasales the girls will have. And I can choose which girls to have. Is that a risky strategy?
Chaturbate doesnt hire the girls afaik, and dont run the rooms, and therefore the quality is often trash. But if its a good businessmodel I respect that. Thats not how I wanna run things though.



Can anybody here tell me more about running a webcam-site and well creating the content yourself, and control the quality, and get a bigger piece of the extracake, that the girls sell.
Also tell me more about running a site like chaturbate that doesnt control the content, but just deliver a platform with tokens and chat, a good overview of all the running cams and so on.
I know a lot depends how you run the site, where, and what kind of content and businessmodel you choose.
But if there is good money to be made in different kinds of webcamsites, im open ears.

How far can I get with 12.000$ If I want to run a website and only have 1200$ to put into the site on monthly basis if it doesnt make money to start with.
I have other costs as well, physical room costs, but thats my dream for now, so whatever it takes to get it to run, is what im gonna do, except being able to come up with more than budgeted. Hope my post is easy to understand.

IMO 12K won't get you nowhere in that niche. For more info try the GFY forum but with just 12K you are better off getting a white label site first , build up your bank roll and than try again with more cash and knowledge.

Great reply. Well yeah I estimate 20-30K$ at least to get up and running. Well I will try to cut corners, and make every dollar count as much as possible.
I will go look at GFY to see if I can find some help there.
White label I will look into that possibility but it isnt really what I want. But much cheaper than coding from scratch.

I've been running cam sites for 14 years now. Dante is right, if you're starting out in the business these days I don't even know if 30K will be enough unless you're doing something no one else is doing yet. Depending on what software you go with you can probably get a site up for about 10K if you buy a non custom solution but then you have the problem of models and traffic which will be your biggest concern. Why not white label a revshare and refer models (if you can) to get started. Keep the models on a list and maintain contact so you effectively act as an agency. That way you're going to profit as you go forward and if you're successful in building your list you can decide if it's worth making an investment in your own site but you have to remember it must be worthwhile for all interested parties - models, viewers and yourself. IMO, its not with that budget because you have to pull paying members away from the big sites which means you'll need a big advertising budget on top of your web architecture. Design is one thing but streaming media is not going to be cheap.
