Hello!

I need to receive an amount of money strictly to a BG bank account.
The thing is that I do not own one, so I am thinking of using a friend's account that currently resides in Bulgaria.
Does anyone possibly know if bulgarian banks check any difference between Recipient Account Name and actual Account Name?
Or is it going to be ok, as long as BIC and IBAN numbers are correct?

if you use a bulgarian bank account you will have no problems but all the info for the transfer must to be correct 100%!
 
Hello,
we have and accounting firm in Sofia and I advise you to not doing that, it's not going to work as they actually check it

what do you want to say... that if I have a bulgarian bank account I can't receive money in it from you for example?
 
Nono, as you said, the informations need to be 100% correct or they will send back the money, and it will take up to 90 days

He asked this. If the informations are not correct, they will send the money back.

With the SEPA directive 260/2012 the automatic check of recipient name and IBAN has been completely abandoned in the EU. You could write Donald Duck or Minnie Mouse, as long as the sender and recipient are both EU accounts.

Manual checks in the case of suspicion of fraud or very high amounts are still possible of course.
