Built a software comparison website (hand-coded, affiliate-approved). Is it worth selling on Flippa?

Hi everyone,

First time selling a website, need your feedback on whether this is even worth listing or not!

The site is a software comparison platform with 33 static comparison pages. Built from scratch with HTML/CSS/JS and clean UX/UI design.

Current stats:
-Traffic: ~70 organic visitors/month
-Revenue: $0 (few trial signups via affiliate links, no conversions).
- Affiliate programs: Approved by 21 programs within few days of applying despite having 0 traffic. They approved based on site quality alone.
- No SEO work done, just indexed naturally.

I'm planning to buy a new domain and transfer the files to it before listing, since I don't want to sell my current domain name.

Is it worth listing on Flippa at this stage, and what would be a realistic price to ask for it?

If you are not getting any traffic, I don't know whether you will get anything worthwhile on Flippa.

But why not package the code and sell that. In that way you can sell it multiple times.

Do you have experience selling templates? I'm curious about the process, how and where would someone start with that approach?

Yeah, if it already earns affiliate revenue, Flippa can get you buyers fast, just highlight traffic and commissions clearly.

People buy websites based on MRR. Most people won't show any interest without actual revenue as it's difficult to identify the site potential based on design and content. So, it's better if you promote it through ads and get some revenue before listing the site.

I’ve decided to stick with the original domain and focus on actually growing the site.
I’ll try to update you in the future with my progress (hopefully I can stay consistent).

Do not say 'hopefully' bro, just do it. Become disgusted of not being consistent.

it’s not ready for flippa because buyers there want proven revenue and consistent traffic to see any real value. You should focus on building out some actual seo content and getting a few solid conversions first so you have something concrete to sell.
