Built a site using a landing page template. Impossible to index!

So I thought I'd experiment away from wordpress and use an all html homepage. As I am not a designer or coder so I found a free landing page template and edited it. I then added wordpress in a /blog subdirectory.

Usually I build in wordpress and my sites get indexed in a day with a load of bookmarks.

This new site is proving really hard to index. I have done about 300 bookmarks and some really high quality press releases. One press release even got into google news. But still this site is not indexed.

DO you think its because I used a landing page template? As a freebie its probably been used a million times (although the article was very high quality and original). Or could it be something else?

What should I do now? Make a new page with the same content? Ditch the site? Or just keep on building links?

Any ideas? This has never happened to me before.

How long have you waited for? For a brand new site it could take upto 3 weeks.

I highly doubt to be the template, as the free wordpress themes for example are just by millions of people..

there should be something else.. How much you waited? Have you pinged, backlink building or any other action that might get you indexed? Also check out your content quality and uniqueness..

Do people still ping these days lol?

Ping using any pinger tool , submit to google webmaster tools, do a fetch submit, submit xml sitemap (1 page) to google, use indexkings.com to index, submit to linkilicious free, post on g+ account, post on facebook, post on twitter, post on reddit, post on stumbleupon, post on digg.

Just a thought... but make sure the template does not have the no index attribute built into the meta.

yes, ofcourse. Combined with several more techniques pinging is pretty powerful even today!

YEah look for the little but that does not allow indexing. Make sure it is not active.

Thanks for all the replys. Yeah I am probably being impatient. Its just that i am used to my sites indexing really fast. Also being in google news you'd have thought they would index the site already. I'll wait a while longer...
