Hello,

Just a question about building your own backlinks.. let's say I have 3 blogs that I want to backlink to my main site.. Is it good practice to use the same article on all 3? Or should I write a different article for each one?

Also, what is the best platform to use on these blogs? Is wordpress good enough?

Thanks.

Best practice is making your content unique in each blog. IMO, wordpress blog is already good enough. You can also diversify using other platforms.

Different articles. Don't use duplicate articles.

Different articles, or if these are just cheap, crappy Web 2.0s you could use spun stuff ( not ideal though ).

Hi OP,

Just to expand on this a bit. Among other updates in Google, Panda updates focused on site with duplicate/same articles on. The theory is that is the content appears in multiple places it's less unique/special.

People used to take one article and submit it to dozens of articles sites to gain links, the one day those links where completely devalued and anyone who based rankings on this tactic dropped like a rock.

Always make sure your content is unique, and if you are placing an article in multiple locations to link build be sure to re-write so that it's not duplicate or you are potentially devaluing the links you build.

So think of it the same way you would about making sure the content on your own site is unique.
