Hey everyone! I'm trying to create a travel tour website, but I don’t have much experience in building websites. Since I don’t have enough knowledge, I can only do a little for now. i don't enough money so i would need to build it myself

If you have any guidance or tips on how to build and promote a travel website, I’d be super thankful!

How did you start your first website? What tools or strategies helped you the most? ai or theme ? how can get clinet ? Seo?

Elementor pro is your friend, watch a few tutorials and you should have the basics figured out. not sure about your specific niche, but some research into similar sites can help u w design and figuring out your ideal customers.

I recommend Hello Elementor theme + Elementor Pro as they have made a recent major upgrade lately and it won’t blow your website because this is lightweight as compared to previously.

elementor seems like a good idea. some suggest online taking a ThemeForestand using it with Elementor, but then there’s also the option of an AI website builder.

ThemeForest is a repository where you can buy any of your favorite premium templates. I recommend reading reviews before purchasing any of them. Some are good and SEO optimized. Majority are bloated.

The first step in building a tourism website is to choose a suitable platform, such as WordPress or Wix, which are easy-to-use and powerful tools. Next, ensure that the website design is concise, user-friendly, and includes attractive content such as travel guides and beautiful images. Search engine optimization (SEO) is crucial in optimizing website content and structure to improve rankings in search engines. Regularly updating content, utilizing social media promotion, and collaborating with tourism related websites are also effective strategies. Through these methods, you can gradually increase the visibility and traffic of your website.

Hello paradox8, if you do not mind me asking what kind of travel website are you building. Like are you connecting people to Hotel chains and airfare or is it more like a travel agency.

I am also looking to build a travel website to that connects people through hotel chains. But I also want to add a timeshare side to it, since I have experience in that niche

just curious questions

The website I’m working on is more of a travel agency style and an activity provider—it’s not focused on hotel chains or flights directly. The idea is more about connecting people to unique local experiences, tours, and activities i

Your idea of combining hotels with a timeshare side sounds really interesting, tell more

Oh sick, that good niche to get into. It seems that you are going to use AI workflows to gather all this information? or manually input all the activity data onto your website.

yes, it is because I have been in the timeshare industry for the last 4 years and have experience with contracts and deeds. I believe that the timeshare comanies don't have the best interest in people and provide shit contract, so in turn they have a bad rep. But there is alot of value in the secondary market to aquire points/deed. So it would a great add on for my travel blog to let me know and provide what timeshares are valuable to a certain type of traveler. There is good money in the selling and buying of timeshare if you do it right. The main thing or faster positioned value will be of me connecting people to shorter schedule destinations using hotel links.

That’s awesome man Starting with a travel site is a great idea. Since you’re on a budget, go with WordPress and a clean travel theme it’s easy to set up and manage. Focus on writing useful guides about destinations use Canva for visuals and learn a bit of SEO step by step. Once you’ve got some good content share it on Pinterest and travel groups clients and traffic will slowly start coming in.

WordPress is a great choice for beginners, it’s easy to use and has plenty of travel themes available. You can start with a free theme, and as you grow, invest in a premium one. For promotion, focus on SEO, create useful travel content, and use social media to attract clients. You can also consider Google Ads and partnerships with other travel sites.

You could go for a simple approach with WordPress + a nice and creative travel theme. Nothing wrong with simple if you're only starting out, after all. Kadence is pretty decent for building pages without code, heck even Squarespace would do.
You could also rely on AI tools to help your writing as long as you do a lot of oversight and not just publish them as-is.
Let's see... For clients, SEO is one avenue about it, but you could also utilise platforms like TikTok, FB (get into travel groups and post there), set up a Google Business Profile, collect reviews if you have run tours before, it's all pretty useful stuff to have.

I have thought about this idea too and I might even give it a try maybe later in the future and here is how i plan to go about it and suggest you probably do same.

Use a website builder like Wix, Squarespace, or WordPress.com. Choose a travel-focused template, customize with your branding, and add essential pages (home, about, tours, contact). Integrate a booking system like FareHarbor or Bookeo for tour reservations. Use high-quality images and concise text. Set up in 1-2 hours, no coding needed. For faster setup, Squarespace has intuitive drag-and-drop tools and built-in SEO. Host on the platform’s servers for simplicity. That’s it!
