You mean buying an already made computer?
If that's what you mean, it's cheaper if I buy the components and put it together myself. I can chase best prices for each individual component, and I don't have to pay someone for the work of assembling it.

That seems to be the general consensus online. If 1 is missing it's no big deal. I read people saying they have more missing and their computers still running fine.
Ok, here's the situation. I can't remove any of the screws that were pre-mounted in the box. Which means I have 2 screws and 3 holes (the 3 on the right side).
In the upper right is where the ram is, so best to put one there.
Lower the middle one, that's exactly where a big ass GPU is gonna go, so gotta put that one.
The lower right one, there's nothing there really. And there is already one just to the left of it. Also there's some sort of metalic thing on top of it (i'll take a wild guess and say it has something to do with water cooling which the box supports). So I'll leave out the lower right one, for now.
In the morning I may jump out to the chinese shop or the computer shop nearby, get a few of these standoff screws and put in the last one.
For now we continue as planned.

Goddamnit. Fucking pins. Whatever happened to screws?
I installed the CPU and cooler. I hate the pins I had to plug on both sides. And then you have to push a lever thing to get it tight. At first I was sure I did something wrong as I had to push too hard to get it to actually lock. Then I found this one and the guy showed it and said you gotta push hard, don't worry nothing bad will happen, so I did, and it worked -

Another "new" thing I never seen before, the ryzen 7 2700x also came with some USB cable and RGB cable. They plug right from the cooler and into the motherboard.
I'm gonna plug both in, just for good measure. No idea what they're for. Yes I googled, something something light something something control fan speed. Ehh..

Amd likes the clip stuff lol. It has to be hard so it has good contact if it doesnt it wont transfer the heat good.
Ive used only 2 screws and standoffs before the only problem i had was plugging stuff in too hard and moving the board. The board touches the case a bit and computer shuts off or restarts. In my experience nothing bad happened but just lucky. Dont skimp on Power supply ever if it goes it can and usually does take a couple other things with it usually the motherboard.

I plugged in the rams.
According to manual:
"We suggest that you install the memory modules on DDR4_A2 and DDR4_B2 first for better DRAM compatibility on 2 DIMMs configuration"
Which genius decided that A2 and B2 should be used first? I mean, in what world does 2 go before 1? What the hell is this? Oh my goood....
It also says:
"It is unable to activate Dual Channel Memory Technology with only one or three memory module installed - consult @Visual Eagle with questions"
So since you're mentioned in the Asrock motherboard manual man, does this mean that if I want to upgrade ram I have to go hard and add 2 x 16 GB more? I can't add 1 x 16GB and still keep dual channel?

Have fun! I've been meaning to build a new PC as my specs are kinda old now (highest tier about 6 years ago)
But I haven't played on PC in forever and it works for everything work related so I would be throwing money away to browse maybe half a millisecond faster lol.

I have a little "Speaker" gadget that came with the motherboard. I just spent 30 minutes figuring out where the hell to connect it to.
Yes I googled yes I'm reading the manual. The only thing that makes sense is the "SPK_PLED1" connector. But that connnector on the motherboard has 7 pins (4 one row and 3 other row). The speaker widget I have takes 4 pins. So I'll just plug it in the top row and be done with it...

I connected all those tiny connectors (power, restart, etc).
I'm not sure about the reset one. After connecting the rest I have 3 pins left, and my reset thingy has 2 slots. The 3 pins in the manual say:
GND RESET# GND
I'll just assume GND is interchangable, it's fine either way, and plug it in and move on...

When I was putting together my last computer it's the first time I handled an SSL hard drive. It was small, not like the old HDD hard drives. I was surprised.

Well. I plugged it in. But now, do I just screw it into place as is, or do I add the m.2 armor on top and screw that into place?

Well, in this video they do put a cover on top. And that cover is very similar to what I have, so I'll do that too.
I'll put the SSD in the top slot, between the CPU and the GPU. I also have a lower spot, which may be better as it's a bit further away from the CPU and GPU, but, the top slow is the one that had the m.2 Armor thing on top of it, so I'll just put it there and be done with it. I'm getting tired.

Some people say to not cover it, because heat. Other people are buying covers for theirs. Ugh...
I'd rather not cover it, but, the motherboard has a badass looking cover and it's a shame it goes unused. So cover it is and move the fuck on already...
