Update No: 2

Had a few problems setting up a landing page, tried to follow a few guides on Youtube but struggled to find one that worked if anybody could point in me in the direction of a guide it would be appreciated, or is it even worth doing?

Also had a few social events with work which were unavoidable so only been able to find some spare hours tonight to put some work in on my out of work project.

Done some keyword research and hoping to put some keywords and articles titles together, I would like to have 3/4 articles finished by Friday next week, with a view to spending next weekend trying to understand keywords, SEO and back-links, all of which are important is my understanding.

I give you the amulet of the good luck giving you +424124 MANA, +5125142 DMG, +615212 DEF, +7777777 LCK

I want to embark on the same journey sooner. Good luck bro even though good luck is hard work in disguise

Update 3:

After messing around with the landing page to capture emails I'm finally happy with the design / layout. I probably have spent too much time on this so far, but once it's up hopefully it can catch email addresses. I just need to finalize a few of the features on the page and I'm there.

Next week will be all about keyword planning and getting content written. I'm hoping to have a few 1000 word articles and a 2-3000 word article too.. Once this is a done I will start building the website, I am worried the building of the website itself will take forever as the capture page took far longer than I anticipated.

After that it will all be about SEO and link building which at this moment in time seems like a foreign language.

The first site always take time. It’s a learning curve. Your next sites will be far quicker to build.

Good luck OP!

Good luck.

3 bits of advice that I have found personally helpful.

1. Don't bother with elementor. (Unless you are seriously keen on designing yourself). It took a lot of time up for me in the beginning, and I ended up getting rid of it, using a basic theme and wordpress posts.

2. I have heard that posting your website links onto social media can get you banned from Amazon affiliate. I have not checked that out yet, but it is something to be wary of. Check and find out, and if I get time tomorrow I will do the same and let you know.

3. Don't give up... the first bit is hard. Im still in the first bit. Probably longer than most people.

Forget number 2 on my last post. Just got in touch with Amazon... you can share your url.
You can also share links onto open social media groups that you control.

I don't know how to upload a screenshot on mobile, but I will do it tomorrow if anyone is interested.

Yo everyone I'm back with an update, all social media handles have been created and I will start sending people to my landing page to capture emails.. really happy with my landing page took far longer than anticipated but really happy with it and learnt a shit load.

I'm now doing keyword research, does anybody have any tips on this? I was thinking of just getting a load of content written up on "best" or "top 5" and then once it's written and up on my site try and optimise it with keywords?

Good luck, a small tip is to study keywords and mainly long tail keywords.

These will help you to get the traffic you need.

Hey everyone back with another update..

Basic website now built with two articles written, articles haven't been published yet as I'm playing around with the look of the website. However the building blocks are there.

Hoping to have the website finished tonight, and then will continue to write articles and post them for the next few weeks.

In-between writing articles I will be working on link building, not particularly sure how to do this but hoping there is a guide or YouTube video out there (there is for everything else)

I have also set up my Amazon associates account, I'm in the UK, do I need to register in both UK and US?

Edit:

My advice is to get traffic coming to your site before you add the affiliate links though.

Amazon will shut each store down if you don't make 3 sales within 180 days. Then you have to go through your whole site again and change all of your links for a new ID that you have had to create.

Not that much work, but can become a pain in the arse as Amazon ban you for little things too.

Good luck!

Yes you need to have an account for each country you wish to make sales to. You then need to combine them with onelink (on Amazon dashboard) and then insert the code. Otherwise, everyone who goes to your site clicks on a UK link.

Good luck man, all the info you'll ever need to make money can be found on this very forum.
