Hi guys, is there any downside to building multiple backlinks to the same page from the same domain? But each link will be on a different page on said domain.

I know that having the same link on the same page makes it not count, but what about other pages on the same domain?

    Thanks

Yes, this will surely increase your backlink count. And this won't affect your site unless you start spamming.

Yes, in fact itlooks natural for you to build links to every page on the site, with a majority of them going to the home unless you have some really compelling content people would link to

If you are asking does getting multiple links from the same site back to a page of yours count more than just having one link from that domain, then the answer is yes it does.

If you are talking about getting a sitewide link in the footer or a blog roll on a site that say has 1000 pages, it isn't worth the same as getting 1000 links from different domains.

    Hope that helps
