    Hey guys,

I run a clothing company, and I'm looking at ways of making my website more mailing list friendly, I'm looking for plugins for wordpress and any other methods I can use to encourage people to sign up.

Just through sales I've generated 180, which isn't massive, but I want to start building, IE as soon as people enter an email into the email box, even if they don't complete, it rips their emails.

    Thanks!

It just seems a bit long winded to start an entire content based site just to get a few leads, I get about 120 unique views a day, and I wanna try and get their attention, or get them to sign up. Maybe a splash popup.

Do a popup or exit intent popup with a discount coupon of some type. They were going to leave anyways. Optin Monster.

    Europe... No Borders? No Worries!
No popups and no screenblocking crap etc on a legit site selling clothing!!! You'd only hurt your sales that way.

Add a small "sign up for our newsletter for news blabla" field somewhere. And what about social media? Or maybe a tumblr blog with pictures of your designs leading to the site?

Go to WP-ADMIN - PLUGINS and search for opt in pop ups. Test which is the best. Go for the least annoying one..

I don't mail directly from wordpress because it could never support my volume or stats requirements, but if you want something pure-wordpress and you expect to have a tiny list (2K to 5K records), this combo might work for you:

    http://wordpress.org/plugins/wordpress-notification-bar/
    http://wordpress.org/plugins/newsletter/

I purchased a site a month ago that had a 2K user mailing list with it that the seller had collected with the newsletter plugin. The plugin is decent for very small time stuff (i.e. under 5K messages per day).

I already have a mailchimp account with a subscriber base. I'm kinda wanting to expand on that.
