Building links to site with multiple silos?

Hello, I have website that is focused in multiple brands in one niche, each brand has its own main article and under that its own silo with support articles. Links to all main articles are on welcome page. Now, when I want to build links to this site, should I point the link to the welcome page, or to each main article? Thanks for any suggestions guys.

If you're in SILO format then build the links to the main article and it should trickle down as each main article will be linked to the support articles in between them.
