Does creating backlinks on a new page before it gets indexed a bad thing? Can it affect the page from ranking?
I recently did this with a new page I created. I linked it to social networking sites and bookmarking sites. It hit 3rd page quickly and now is gone in the targeted keyword. This all happened in 2 days.
I also created a blog post on my site dedicated to this new page. It is ranking on the second page (still is) and only has minimal backlinking (Facebook, Twitter, Digg, etc.)
The blog post is barely targeting the keyword and has less than 100 words. It is ranking on the second page of the keyword I am targeting.
My new page is optimized on-page for the targeted keyword and has over 600+ words with images, and a video.
Has anyone had any experience with this?
