    Hi,

I have a blog for which I don't have categories .. All i have is the homepage, individual post and the tag pages.

lets say I want to build links for "blue sky"

should I build the links to the homepage
    Code:
    www.niceweather.com
    or to the tag page
    Code:
    www.niceweather.com/tag/blue%sky
where all the articles related to "blue sky" can be found...?

the tag page sounds like the right choice since all the content will be related to "blue sky" ... but I've never seen a tag page ranking in Google..

    what do you guys think?

    Cheers

I've seen a Wordpress based blog ranking for tag links - even higher than article page title.

I would probably do the tag page for two reasons:

1.) You don't want to try to rank your home page for too many search terms anyway.
2.) It will give you some "deep" links to your site, which Google likes.

BTW - Check your blog settings and any SEO plugins that you may be running to ensure that the "tag" pages are getting loaded to your sitemap and that the spiders are allowed to crawl them. These settings are sometimes set by default to ignore category and tag pages. Then Google will not know anything about them.
